Malaysian brands are embracing gifting as an innovative marketing solution
As Malaysians increasingly turned to e-commerce ( https://www.globaldata.com/malaysia-e-commerce-market-grow-10-6-2021-reveals-globaldata/ ), the faster-than-expected acceptance of digital solutions and purchases has paved the way for brands to turn to digital solutions. The local e-commerce industry was slated to grow by 10.6% in 2021, one of the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia.
eGifts have proven to be an exciting sub-category of digital commerce space with brands like Tealive, Family Mart, Baskin Robbins and more partnering with Giftee Malaysia to introduce their products into the eGift ecosystem. Fujifilm Malaysia joins a growing list of prominent international and local Malaysian brands that are promoting the gifting culture in Malaysia.
Ryo Okubo, Chief Operating Officer of Giftee Malaysia, said “This partnership with Fujifilm follows our expansion beyond the F&B category as we want to introduce as many attractive offerings to Malaysians. Furthermore, this partnership also marks our direction of transforming digital gifting with a smart O2O (online-to-offline) strategy. With this, recipients can choose their products online instead of in-store, and it will be delivered to their doorstep. With this added convenience, we hope to improve the gifting experience for recipients and lighten the load for our retail partners. Our platform provides a great benefit to both our partnering brands and consumers. We continue to see increased demand for our eGift System and stay committed to adding more great brands and products to our eGift solution platform”
